Game Review: Stargate SG-1: Unleashed has quite a lot of potential. Featuring the voices of many of the cast of the TV series of the same name, and some rather attractive visuals, its ambitions appear to be quite high. It’s unfortunate then that Stargate SG-1: Unleashed struggles from having a few too many ideas, meaning it doesn’t focus on one core component for its gameplay.
In the space of 5-10 minutes of playing, there are moments of cover shooting, conversation threads and Quick Time Events. It’s almost too much to keep track of, and none of it works quite as smoothly as one would like. Throw in a stealth sequence and there’s a lot of different mechanics to fit into a 2 hour chapter of a much larger experience. Review By Jennifer Allen from 148apps.com

Game Review :by Chris Hall from pocket-lint.com: Granny Smith is a platforming game that sees you (initially) playing as said Granny, chasing the thief who wants to steal the apples.
Okay, it's a little more exciting than that, as you're a rollerskate-wearing Granny, racing through levels collecting coins and apples Sonic style.
There are only two real controls. The first is jump, the second is to hook with your walking stick. You'll need to be quick with both to make it through the levels, as Granny Smith doesn't offer you an easy path.
Mistime a jump and Granny will be face down in the bottom of a rocky pit, or knocking over a pig. In some cases this leads to having to restart a level; sometimes you're just left trying to catch that thief and missing out on all those apples.
The walking stick is used to hook on to things such as wires to slide down, James Bond-style. This isn't an option: at times this is the only way through a section of a level. There are also swings and jumps, so you'll have to be quick to release and re-hook when there's a gap.
Each level is scored with points awarded for collecting coins – and in the style of Mario or Sonic, timing will get you to more coins, as well as getting those three apples, which are a little like stars on Angry Birds.
As such there is some replay value. You can fluff a level entirely and still progress, but once you start seeing those levels where you failed to get the apples, you'll be back trying to bag them all.
The levels are short: short enough to fail a couple of times TO get an idea of the timing and then get through with a clean sweep. The app is well put together and the production values are high. The retro black and white replay of levels brings some fun and the graphics are really impressive, especially as things are racing past at speed.
Great fun, easy to dip in and out of, Granny Smith brings plenty of laughs in a neatly put together package. It's optimised for Tegra 3 too, so if your device runs on Nvidia hardware, you'll get more detail out of this game.

Shine Runner is a gorgeous and addictive racing/trading game that drop you into a high speed fanboat deep in the bayou. You are essentially a smuggler, trading items across several small trading posts for profit. Buy in one, trade in another. The aim of the game is to race your way from location to location as fast as you can and make as much money as you can! Incredible graphics, great sound and fun gameplay make Shine Runner very special indeed.

Features: Shine Runner is top-quality smuggling game that looks and feels like a console title. Deep in the everglades you must race and trade your way to success. There are 6 trading posts to visit: Bookie T’s, The Giggin Hole, Crazy Eddy’s, Guns N Jugs, Piggy’s and Dixie Trix. In these you can buy several items including: Crawdads, Catfish, Peter Pep, Gator tails, Snake Oil, Tobacky and Shine. You then have to take the items you buy and sell them on somewhere for profit. You have a store screen which displays the prices so you have to strategically find places where you can sell for profit.
The main action, however, takes place in the marshy waters between each location. Luckily you have a super powerful fanboat to race around in. You win money by completing each journey in a quick time, but expect all kinds of different obstacles, from police boats to alligators! The graphics really come into their own in two specific areas. Firstly the realistic water detail is just incredible and, if your device can cope with it, sends tiny splashes across your screen after a jump. Secondly, there are several small buildings on stilts coming out of the water and these are completely destructible if your boat hits them (accidentally of course). Digital Blasphemy is a website full of computer art created by Ryan Bliss. He’s managed to make a living creating art! This is the official (but fan made) app for the site. Ryan didn’t write this app, but he provided feedback and design requests all throughout the development process. Ryan and Digital Blasphemy do not provide support for this app!
This app will assist in downloading DB images and help to set them as the wallpaper in your launcher. It will let you rate images and post comments (if you have a subscription and are signed in). It will also let you read the current site news and comments regardless of whether you’re signed in.
*** You do need a subscription (which costs extra and is not included) to download most of the image resolutions. To see what you’re missing, check out Clockwork 2011. Ryan made Clockwork free for users of the app, regardless of subscription status. ***
The only image resolutions listed and available will be the mobile images (and some others) that are free on the website. Once a username is provided, the rest of the image resolutions will be available. Also, if you have not provided a username, the ratings button, comment button and various other UI interfaces will be hidden.
There’s still an awful lot on the todo list, but we think the app does a pretty good job with comments, news, ratings and downloading the images. If you have problems, let me know, and I’ll try to fix it as soon as I can.

Game Review: Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour is a Gameloft Montreal mobile first-person shooter video game due to be released for iOS, Windows Phone 8 and possibly Android devices this fall.[2][3] Gameloft released a gameplay trailer on September 25, 2012, along with a new Modern Combat-focused website. The teaser trailer shows high definition graphics much like its predecessor, but with some graphical boosts and improvements, such as real-time shadows. Other improvements include more “military support”, tactical gameplay and campaign programming.[4] The game still lacks a release date, however, will most likely hit stores sometime in the fall.[5][6][7] The iOS version was also confirmed to support the iPhone 5. Modern Combat 4 will be a paid app.
Like the Call of Duty franchise that Modern Combat draw its inspiration from, the mission doesn’t contain a single moment of downtime. It opens with a memorable Normandy-esque beach landing and sprints at a breakneck pace through breach-and-clears, on-rails truck chases and all the other key set-piece moments that keep getting more and more spectacular with each subsequent franchise entry.
The moment-to-moment gunplay is fast-paced and brutal. If you leave yourself exposed to enemy fire for more than a few seconds you will punished with a quick death. Likewise, ducking behind cover rapidly heals you back to full, ready to get back into the fight. None of the basic weapons I encountered felt like they had much weight, however. And the enemies often felt more like pop-up cardboard cut-outs than meaningful opponents. But this is a complaint that could (and often is) leveled at the AAA Call of Duty franchise that Modern Combat apes, as well.
